Detailed Description 1923 Bauhaus Chess Set (Golden Rosewood version)
The thought behind this design was that the shapes and symbols of cubes, cylinders and balls should lead you move by move to checkmate.
The original Bauhaus design was sold in two versions, a "daily use" version and a hand-made "luxury" version.
Our design is a reproduction of the Handmade Luxury Version.
The set is also accompanied by a 12.6 inches x 12.6 inches folding board made of golden rosewood and maple, which provides the set with a beautiful contrast and squares of 40 mm. The wood grain texture is enhanced by the matte surface treatment, which is smooth to the touch and sufficiently fine to carry around while still being elegant enough to be presented.
