The knight, famously, is the finial of a violin—originally fashioned from a box of abandoned violin necks—while symbolic cues abound (an Egyptian king’s pyramid, a medieval conical headdress, an apothecary’s flask for the bishop).
This re-edition follows Man Ray’s intent and is based on a set in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In this run, the pieces are turned in ebonized & natural boxwood; the companion IC Design Group board is solid beech with a satin finish. Shipped from the US — taxes and duties may apply to international orders. We pack and hand off orders within two business days. Depending on the location, international delivery usually takes 10 business days to arrive. A tracking link is provided after dispatch. Customs duties/VAT (if applicable) are paid by the recipient; if a parcel returns due to unpaid charges, the return freight may be deducted from the refund.
Exchanges and returns can be made within 14 days of delivery. Unused items must be returned with their original packing and tags. Return shipping is paid by the customer. For EU customers, a prepaid return label may be provided; its cost will be deducted from the refund. Refunds take 1-2 business days to process once they are received, and banks typically finish posting within 1-3 business days.

Dust regularly using a dry, soft piece of fabric.
Use beeswax or 3M polish once a monthfor the shine of the board as the boards have HV melamine lacquer coating on them.
Keep chess pieces away from humidity and heat.
It can cause cracking, discolouration, and warping of chess pieces.
Do not use 3M polish for chessmen.
