Official World Chess Studio Pieces

Official World Chess Studio pieces — exactly the same as the iconic Championship set pieces but slightly smaller.

Just like the Championship level pieces, the Studio pieces are hand-made from the same high-quality material - boxwood.

It’s smaller than the Championship version (87% of the full size) and perfect for home and club play. It pairs well with any ‘40 and ‘45-cm square-size board but was designed to go with the ‘45 folding board.

Shipped in a bespoke travel pouch, it does not take much space and can be easily stored or put into a weekend bag. Both the set and the packaging were designed by Daniel Weil of Pentagram for World Chess.

The king height is 79 mm. The set comes with two Extra queens. Please note that this is pieces only, the board has to be purchased separately.
